An Autumnal State of Mind

It is October 2nd and although there is sun, it is a gentle warmth, not the timid sun of Spring, nor the fierce sun of Summer. There is stillness. The light is concentrated, there is a sharpness and beauty to the air. Everything appears to have a definite outline to it as if the artist has pressed just a little harder with his pencil when drawing the leaves as well as the birds flying overhead. The tree I see in the park over the rooftops looks as if the leaves are dying embers in a fire. The setting sun has lit up each and every red leaf – it is spectacular.
This seems to reflect my state of mind at present. I feel calm and at one with everything. There is nothing to fear, nothing to worry about, I just Am. I feel warmth towards every living thing, an acceptance of what or who they are. Not forcing to accept, not over doing the feeling, just Being. Once again I am in a state of grace and thankful. My being reflects the season, I am in an Autumnal State of Mind.
